What happens to a resume here
Short version: the resume file never leaves your browser. Your browser removes the candidate's name, email, phone, street address, personal links and graduation or age-proxy years, shows you what it removed, and sends only that redacted text for analysis. We do not store resumes. We do not store job descriptions. We do not log request contents.
Where each step runs
- Parsing (PDF, DOCX): in your browser, using open-source libraries loaded from a public CDN. The file is read in memory on your device.
- Redaction: in your browser, before any network call. The line "Redacted in your browser" on the page lists what was removed. If no name is detected you are asked to type it so it can be removed.
- Analysis: the redacted text, the job description and your role inputs are sent over HTTPS to our server (Cloudflare Workers), which forwards them to the model provider (Anthropic) and returns the result. The server keeps no copy. Server logs hold only a timestamp, token counts, latency and success or failure.
- Sourcing and salary research: runs on the job title, level and location only. No candidate text is sent to this step. Results are cached for 30 days by title and metro.
What we keep
The current app does not save resumes, job descriptions or results. Cloudflare keeps rate-limit counters and the app caches title-and-location research. Results and recruiter notes remain in your browser tab until you close it or export them. Accounts, checkout and saved results are planned, not live; their retention terms will be published before those features launch.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the service. Anthropic provides analysis through its API. Provider processing and retention follow their applicable terms; our app's no-storage policy does not promise that providers retain no operational data. Stripe payments and Google account sign-in are planned features.
Planned advertising on public tools
Advertising is currently off. We plan to use Google AdSense on public free-tool pages, separate from resume analysis and candidate outputs. If enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons and IP addresses to provide, measure and personalize ads depending on your choices. We will configure the applicable consent message before advertising starts. Learn about Google's use of information and ad personalization choices. Candidate inputs and analysis outputs are not supplied as advertising data.
Your choices
Paste text instead of uploading a file. Add or correct the name to be removed. Close the tab and nothing persists. Questions: contact.
